Lohipato is the second home for many children...If the daily trip to school is too long to be taken every day, Lohipato can offer a good alternative as a second home. Our pupils’ home is divided into family-like units of 6 to 8 people where the pupils live in rooms designed for 1 to 2 people. Living in the pupils' home is made easier by utilising appropriate working methods and modern technology.

Each pupil has his/her own nurse so that care and guidance is individual. The objective of the pupils’ home activity is to support and guide the pupil to become as self-acting and independent as possible. For older pupils, the objective of the pupils’ home is to build a bridge from adolescence into adulthood and thus prepare and coach the adolescent for an independent life. All the pupils spend the weekends in their own homes.
There is lot to do in Lohipato...
